ABSTRACT:
Substituted benzothiazoles were synthesized from condensation of aldehydes and 2-amino-5-substituted-thiophenol in good yields via PEG-mediated one-pot process. The significant features of this condensation are operational simplicity, inexpensive reagents and excellent yield of products with green approach of the reaction. Keywords: 2-Aminothiophenol, Polyethylene glycol, Green chemistry, Solvent-free, Cyclocondensation, Substituted benzothiazoles
